Meet the obese people who say they’re either too fat to work or that no one will give them a job because of their size. Debbie weighs 21 stone and is on disability benefits. She’s got a long list of ailments and illnesses which she says have contributed to her obesity and means she simply can’t work. Her husband Steve also doesn’t have a job. That’s so he can be Debbie’s carer and deal with her incredibly strict demands. Les weighs 35 stone. He’s been unemployed for nine years and is now resigned to a life on benefits. We also meet Barry who says he’d love to work and has applied for more than 100 jobs in the past six months. But he claims that at 31 stone, bosses take one look at him and say he’s simply too fat to work.
